AR Location Based Collaboration Made Fun
A collaborative location based AR project with X-Mode Social and Thomas Jefferson University
Scribe is a location based augmented reality collaboration application aimed at connecting students across multiple disciplines through the use of gamification. This AR product prototype is the result of a research endeavor between the industry leading location based company Digital Envoy, formerly known as X-Mode Social, and Thomas Jefferson University.
Based on the concept of novel experiences, students are presented a series of questions to learn more about their interests. Then, based on location and random chance, students are connected with other like minded individuals and presented with collaboration opportunities.
This Augmented Reality application utilizes gamification to encourage students to collaborate more, ultimately resulting in the opportunity for cross pollination and transdisciplinary learning.
